Nava Mau is a filmmaker, writer, and actress. She has been performing since she was a child in Mexico City and San Antonio, Texas. Nava wrote, directed, produced, and starred in the the short film Waking Hour, which is screening in festivals and online. You can view the short film here. Nava was recently selected as the G&E Fellow on the set of the Disclosure: Trans Lives on Screen documentary. She appears next in the short film Femenina, and serves as a producer on Lovebites, which is currently in post-production.
Previously, Nava was a part of Peacock Rebellion’s Brouhaha comedy program for two years in a row. In 2016, she was a producer and co-host, and she then worked as a writing coach and featured artist in 2017.
